Laura Perrin
Laura was born in 1981 in Drumbo, Ontario. She completed her Honours Undergraduate Degree at the University of Toronto in 2004. While there, she participated in the University of Toronto Summer Abroad Program, traveling to Hong Kong (2002) in order to study The Architecture of Hyperdensity, with the receipt of a Dr. Stanley Ho Scholarship.
Upon graduation, Laura traveled to London, UK, in order to continue studying in visual art at the Slade School of Fine Art at the University College of London, graduating with her MFA in 2006. While there, she received the Major Award from the London Stationer and Newspaper Makers, a Slade Scholarship, as well as a Club Colour Award. Upon returning to Toronto, Laura attended the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, with a focus on Visual Art Education at the Junior, Intermediate and Senior level.
Laura now lives and works in Waterloo Region, as both an artist and an educator. She has participated in several group shows in various galleries in the region, and throughout Southwestern Ontario and Canada. Most recently, she participated in Divergence at the Carnegie Gallery in Hamilton, The Big Print in Hespeler for a Day and a Night, and Riverside at the Cambridge Galleries.
