The BIG Print

The BIG Print is a 24-foot-long printed community quilt on canvas that was created with a road roller by the Riverside Print Group during Hespeler’s A Day & A Night Art Meets Music Festival. It contains the designs of 240 Cambridge residents, collected at four different community events held in all parts of Cambridge. The project was undertaken to help the community celebrate and commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the City of Cambridge. The quilt was unveiled at the 2014 Mayor’s New Year’s Levee and was on display at Cambridge City Hall for the month of January. Quarters of the quilt were displayed in each of the four branches of Idea Exchange (formerly Cambridge Libraries and Galleries).
